Increasing urbanisation has caused problems with flash flooding after sudden rain. As areas of vegetation are replaced by impermeable concrete or tarmac the area loses its ability to absorb rainwater. This rain is instead directed into surface water drainage systems, often overloading them causing floods. Increased numbers of car owners and multi-car households have lead to many homeowners changing their existing front gardens into parking areas, therefore causing major burdens with the drainage systems already in place and reducing natural land drainage in the form of lawns and flower gardens.
Our Resin Bound Screed System, when laid onto a permeable Tarmac substrate, provide a SuDS Compliant permeable surface that eliminates puddling and the need for extensive ground drainage systems including soakaways, ACO Drainage or french drains.
